Pioneering the Fun: Challenge Accepted's Exclusive Gelsoft Low FPS!

Did you know? Challenge Accepted is the first and only facility in Queensland to offer Gelsoft Low FPS which they introduced in 2022! We're proud to bring this exciting and family-friendly activity to the Sunshine Coast! While other's were pushing the limits on how high or hard they can go with their blaster's, Challenge Accepted saw the need for a more family friendly version of the sport. While Gelball is fun, Challenge Accepted wanted the younger crowd to be able to experience the action without the pain! So Gelsoft LOW FPS was born!

What is Gelsoft Low FPS?

Gelsoft Low FPS is a variation of the popular Gelball game, specifically designed for younger players (ages 8+) and anyone who wants a less intense experience. Here's what sets it apart:

• Lower Impact: Gelsoft blasters are modified or designed to fire at velocities below 170 feet per second (FPS), which is significantly lower than standard Gelball. This means the gel balls sting less upon impact, making it a great option for families and first-timers. Players can use their own blasters, or hire. Pistols and rifles can be used, however with rentals, they are normally pistols.

• Safe and Fun:  At Challenge Accepted, safety is our priority.  We provide all participants with protective eyewear or face masks, ensuring a fun and worry-free experience.

• Similar Gameplay: Just like Gelball, Gelsoft involves two teams battling it out in exciting game modes (more on that later!). It's a fantastic way to build teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

• Open Throughout the Week: We have regular Gelsoft sessions running weekly, with additional options during school holidays. So, you can find a time that perfectly suits your schedule.

• Birthday Party Option: Gelsoft is by far the most popular activity for kids birthday parties. Players choose this as the safe option which never disappoints!

Gearing Up for Gelsoft Low FPS:

Challenge Accepted provides all the necessary equipment for your Gelsoft adventure, including blasters, protective gear, and unlimited ammo.  However, feel free to wear comfortable, long clothing for added protection. Enclosed shoes are required.

Get Ready for Epic Game Modes!

We offer a variety of exciting game modes to keep things interesting. Here are a few examples, to the classics we play:

• Terrorists vs. Counter-Terrorists (TVT): Inspired by the popular video game, this mode pits a team of defenders (Counter-Terrorists) against attackers (Terrorists) who have a specific objective, like planting a bomb which need needs to be found and defused.

• Bomber: This game is a version of "Hot Potato" in which a bomb on a timer is passed from team to team around the field. Players do not want the bomb held by their team and are constantly trying to get rid of it. The bomb explodes and the team with the bomb loses. One version of this makes the losing team run the gauntlet as punishment for losing.

• Jailbreak: One team starts as prisoners in a designated "jail". They must escape and evade the Police who have been sent in to arrest them and take them back to jail. The Police can respawn after being hit, while prisoners have one life only.

• Heist: Bank robbers run amuck in this game, one team acts as "Robbers" who need to steal as much gold bullion from the bank and take it back to their extraction point. The other team ("Security") tries to stop them.

• Presidential Escort: One team is assigned Secret Service detail with a president who they elect. The president must conduct a presidential tour on a set route and stay alive. The other team are assassins sent in to attempt an assassination on the president! The president has only one life and so do the assassins, however the secret service has unlimited lives. This game will test your team skills.

• After School Gelsoft Combat Program (Ages 8-14): Keep your kids active and engaged with our structured after-school program. It's a great way for them to learn teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship in a safe and supervised environment.  This program is a perfect introduction to Gelsoft Low FPS, and upon enrolling,  they can participate in The LAMB Challenge, a separate competition designed to test their acquired skills. These sessions run during school Terms after school.

• Ladies Only Nights: Gear up for a night of giggles and adrenaline with our exclusive Ladies Only Gelsoft sessions. It's a perfect opportunity to bond with friends or meet new people in a fun and safe environment.
